Privacy. Not much to say.
No accounts, no cookies, no ads. Nearly counts a few things so we know whether people play it and where they came from.
What we count
- Visits and plays. Page views and a handful of game events (a day started, a face locked, a day finished, a share), with the day number, your score and how far off each guess was. They go to PostHog, an analytics service hosted in the EU, in its cookieless mode: nothing is stored on your device for it, and visitors are counted with an anonymous code that changes every day, so we cannot follow you from one day to the next.
- Where a visit came from. The site that linked you here, and a short tag if the link had one (such as
nearly.gg/r/…). - Your guesses, as a crowd. Your first guess on each face adds one to a count of how many people said that age. Only the face and the age are kept: no time, no address, nothing that ties the guess to you.
What stays with you
Your scores, your run and your settings are kept in this browser's storage and never leave it. Clearing the site's data resets them.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share data, show ads, use tracking cookies, or record your screen. If that ever changes, this page changes first.
